- Born on 20 April, 1889
- Alois Hitler Sr. and Maria Anna Schicklgruber gave birth to a child who will be infamous in distant future.
- Was an Austrian born German. Born in a small town near Austrian, German border.
- 3 year old Hitler ( and his parents) later moved to Passau
- When old enough to be schooled little Adolf went to a Volksschule ( a state owned school.)
- His discipline in school was bad due to so many conflicts him and his dad were having. Due to that he was expelled and the family had to move again in 1897.
- He attended church school and became religious. Even wanted to become a priest.
- In 1900 Hitler’s younger brother Edmund died of measles and that affected Hitler a lot. He fought with teachers, his parents and other people. Man, he had anger issues. So they moved again!
- Alois had a awesome career in custom bureau so he expected Adolf to follow his footsteps. He ignored Adolf’s wishes to go to classical high school to be an artist, and instead sent him to Realschule in 1900.
- Hitler was so mad he did poor in school on purpose!
- As Hitler was growing up he developed a deep patriotism of Germany and felt like being in the government.
- When Alois died in 1903, Adolf’s mom allowed him to do and enroll in whatever he wanted.
- So Hitler all by himself at 16 moved back to Vienna, Austria. Worked as a painter.
- 21 December,1908 Maria Anna dies of breast cancer.
- Hitler’s lack of academics made every academy to reject him. Now he was homeless.
- At that time Vienna discriminated Germans. Georg Ritter von Schönerer, was like Martin Luther King so he was on huge influence on Hitler.
- One of the influence was that Jews will overrun Christianity so Hitler started hating Jews.
- 1913, he moved to back to Germany as he was mad at Austrians so he joined the German army at 24.
- Soon WWI became a go! He fought many battles and became an experienced soldier. Adolf was given many awards and medals plus respect. He loathed his superior commander because he was a Jew.
- Oct. 1916, Hitler went to the Battle of Somme where he got heavily injured when a shell exploded right in front of his face!! Had to wear a mustard gas mask in hospital.
- When he healed, he learned that Germany lost the war when he was not fighting. He was so mad, frustrated, and had evil thoughts in mind. His fellow soldiers were shocked by his patriotism.
- Germany’s loss made France, Poland, and other countries just bully German around. Take money whenever they want, etc. Hitler wanted to change that. Also those were countries with large number of Jews.
- On July 19 1919, he was made Verbindungsmann (intelligence agent) of an Aufklärungskommando (reconnaissance commando).
- He was assigned to gain access to Germans Workers Party (DAP) and influence other soldiers.
- Was attracted to Anton Drexler’s( A politician) non-Jewish, anti-non Germans policy. He impressed Drexler with several public speaking and political skills so D. invited Hitler to a seat in DAP. Hitler now became a politician.
- Hitler met Eckert and they became friends. Eckert was Hitler’s mentor and and taught him a lot about politics and anti-Jew thing.
- Impressed by a awesome idea by Hitler DAP changed to Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers Party(NAZIS)).
- Hitler suggested to change the flag to a swastika and DAP applied.
- Hitler was NSDAP public speaker. He was GOOD!! Over 6,000 people listened to his non Jewish and racist speeches. Adolf Hitler was a famous man. Germany loved him. He defeated rival politicians through speech.
- June 20, 1921 some NSDAP members rebelled. They wanted to join a enemy party. Mad Hitler resigned. The NSDAP realized they made a big mistake. Hitler was needed. They begged him to come back. Adolf would come back in one condition.They would join forces with Germans Workers party and he would be NSDAP chairman instead of Drexler. They accepted.
- He eliminated opposing politicians and only kept his supporters. Hitler had many slogans during his speech’s. He also used scapegoats!
- Economic condition were bad and other parties died out. Hitler’s grew. In 1923 Nazis had more than 56,000 supporters.
- On 8th November 1923 Hitler set up the Nazi Beer Hall Putsch. 2,000 men marched in Austria’s capital confronting police and army. A lot of nazis were killed. The goal: Force the Bavarian government to work with the nazis. He failed. Charged with treason, he was sent to prison. He was there was 5 years.
- When in prison Hitler wrote the Mein Kampf. It was his auto-bio. Became famous in no time.
- When he was released in 1928, the German economy had improved a lot.
- In 1930, during the election the nazis votes were 6.5 million. Hitler was beloved throughout Germany. The other parties were badly losing. In 1933, the president appointed Hitler as Chancellor and kicked himself out. Hitler was now the German leader.
- To gain even more power, Hitler was planning how to destroy the Reichstag ( Parliament). Before he could do anything, 27 Feb, 1933 the building was set on fire! It was a Dutch communist who did not like Democracy. That helped Hitler gain more power.
- Hitler ordered the new Reichstag to be formed but they have to be absolutely under his control. Adolf Hitler now had all the power. Democracy in Germany turned to Tyranny.
- He ended all opposing parties and fired every non supporting politician. That made Hitler a dictator.
- He eliminated Jews by making Concentration camps and mass slaughter. Military supported Hitler a lot. It was horrific.
- Hitler only liked Germany. He wanted a full German world. So nazis invented new tech and cool and luring war techniques under Hitler and the German army was more than strong.
- Hitler just began the Third Reich in 1934. In that, police beat Jews up and sent them to camps. He appointed the war minister, army chief, and army generals. All of were Hitler supporters. He silenced protesters and killed Jewish supporters. He fired all of the new politicians who were the nazis.
- To make Germany survive only, he made invasion planes. He had no idea it would trigger the second world war. To have some help, Hitler convinced Italian leader Benito Mussolini to be allies. Hitler and Mussolini named the treaty The Rome-Berlin axis.
- When France, Poland, and Britain learned the nazis had made a air force they told Hitler just broke the WWI surrender terms, and Germany would have to pay. Hitler ignored them.
- 1936, Hitler and Mussolini convince Japan to be alliances. Emperor Hirohito, Japan’s leader agrees. Now they formed to be the Axis.
- France had taken Rhineland, German territory. His patriotism exploded and on March 1936, he ordered its invasion. To Hitler’s joy it was a victory.
- To make Germany expand, Hitler decided to make war with Czechoslovakia. Hitler remembered his teenage life and why he was mad at austria. So he also invaded Austria. The countries armies were no match to the German Luftwaffe and the underwater torpedoes. They surrendered on 12 March 1938. Hitler was a happy man but his thirst did not finish.
- Meanwhile, Japan conquered northern China and both Koreas. They had German aid.
- Hitler and the Germans after that were unstoppable. Conquering beasts. Holland, Spain, Prague, Bohemia, Hungary, Finland all were overwhelmed with German power. By 1939, Europe had very few non-Axis( Italy also conquered a lot.) countries left.
- Now France and Britain were paying attention.
- Hitler was cunning. He knew Russia wanted land so he convinced Russia to attack Poland. On 22 August, 1939 German troops set bases near the Polish borders. France and Britain said to back off or they will declare war. Hitler ignored. The next day tanks, planes and massive artillery shell were sweeping in Poland. 1 man just began WWII!!
- Britain quickly attacked and go reinforcements for Poland. They were sad that another world war began.
- Russian leader Joseph Stalin invaded Poland from the East while Germany attacked from west.
- By 1 month, Hitler’s armies destroyed and wrecked the British navy. The German navy was slightly bigger.
- Poland surrendered without a fight.
- Hitler’s next move was Denmark and Norway May 15, 1940, Denmark was invaded followed with Norway. When their navies and air force were failing France and Britain defended the countries with their life. Failure. Hitler was excited now.
- Hitler now noticed the large number of Jews in these countries. He immediately set Concentration Camps in every Nazi conquered country.
- Britain knew, if Germany invaded them, they would not survive. So under Hitler’s nose, Winston Churchill evacuated the army to France and other parts of world. Hitler was mad when he heard this. He ordered invasion of France and nightly bombing of Britain’s cities.
- in Dunkirk France, Luftwaffe(The German air force) and British and French troops had the biggest air battle ever! It was named, The Battle Of Britain. That became the first German defeat. Now Hitler was mad. He made the bombings more aggressive and the French attacks powerful. Quickly in late 1940’s France surrendered and Britain was alone.
- Hitler was making cruel plans and he watched Winston Churchill ask America for help because he knew they would refuse. He sat back and laughed.
- November 1940, Soviet Union thought Hitler was an ally. But he broke that friendship and attacked them unaware. So many Russian cities gets turned to rubble and dust. His nuclear bombing changed Russia climate and made civilians starve. Heartless Hitler did not care. By early 1941, he had conquered a lot of Russian territory. Battle of Kursk was the bloodiest.
- Meanwhile, he tried to help the Italian prisoners of war when Italy’s invasion of Egypt failed. Failure.
- Later, Hitler learned the reason why Churchill has been beating the Luftwaffe. The British had deciphered the German radio code so they knew when the nazis were attacking. Hitler had to change the code.
- Meanwhile, Russia was blacking out. Tanks and planes became German property. Italy helped Nazis against Russia.
- 7 December, 1941 Japan wrecked Pearl Harbor and angry United States were now in the war. America hated Nazis. Plus a lot of European Jews had fled to America. Adolf wanted desperately to get his hands on U.S. Before he could do anything America declared war on Germany the next day. Now Britain, Russia, and U.S. were the allies. And Germany, Italy, Japan were the Axis.
- Before Hitler could act in early 1942, allies invaded axis held north-Africa Benito and Hitler made plans to defend it successfully. No matter how many troops Hitler and Benito threw in Africa, the allies destroyed axis forces. Hitler needed to keep them out of Tunisia or they could get into Europe.
- He starts holding the allies back for a while.
- In December of 1942, Hitler wants to take the Russian city of Stalingrad. It was one of the bloodiest battles. In January of 1943, it is a big German defeat. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers died and wounded. The battle of Kursk followed and that was also a defeat.
- By April, allies in Africa were winning again.They pushed the nazis out of Africa completely. Hitler now was now a little bit scared. Soon in May, America invaded Sicily. Italy tried to stop them the germans helped but as the allies were losing but right at that time Italian rebels overthrew Mussolini. They now surrendered. Hitler though sent troops in Italy. He fought the allies until his soldiers were beaten. Italy was gone.
- Now Hitler did not know what to do. He got freaked out.
- Meanwhile Japanese forces could not help because they were getting wrecked themselves.
- To Hitler’s unhappiness, more Russian forces started taking back conquered Russian territory.
- On a surprise morning of June 6, 1944 British and American troops attacked a beach in Normandy, France. It was a bloody battle. Hitler was a lightened up by listening to the number of casualties. Allies called it D-Day. They were losing the battle of D-Day. Overconfident Hitler did not pay much attention to D-Day. So the allies won that battle.
- Now the German army was weakened a lot.
- In 1944, several assassination attempts have been made of Hitler. But Adolf was cunning from the time he was born. So they all failed.
- Hitler watched in horror as allies were destroying his forces from both sides. So many Holocausts had been freed on France as allies push further unstoppably through France.
- Russians took back all Russian territory in late 1944 and now were taking Poland back.
- The allies destroyed a highly mineral rich factory which powered most of the Luftwaffe. The German air force was gone.
- In January, France was 100% free.
- Hitler ordered a massive counter-offensive in Bulgaria but due to the weather it failed to. Bulgaria was in allied hands.
- Russia quickly took Poland by January.
- Now allies were pouring into Germany. Hitler knew Germany would lose so he went to special bunker.
- On April 29, Hitler married his girlfriend Eva Braun.
- When the Russians, Americans, British reached Berlin, Hitler remembered WWI and how Germany lost. He did not want to see them to lose again. His patriotism was above the lines. 2 days after his wedding he and his new wife committed suicide. Celebrations break out throughout Europe and America. 3 months later America defeats Japan and the war is over. Hitler had a famous evergreen legacy. The name Hitler is evergreen and famous. A boy who always got F’s grew up to create worldwide chaos and made himself the infamous Adolf Hitler.
